PRECAUTIONS: •The light cable should not be used if there is any indication of damage to the fiber bundles or visual evidence of fraying or wear. •If the cable is disinfected by soaking, the cable should be rinsed with sterile water to remove the soaking/disinfection solution and dried thoroughly before plugging into the light source. • Avoid excessive bending or stretching of the light cable. Store in a proper tray. •The light cable should be used only with an adequately functioning light source. For adequate illumination, be sure that the light cable is securely attached to both the light source and the light post of the fiberoptic scope. •Do not look directly into the light cable when it is plugged into the light source. Do not turn on the light source until the cable is plugged into both the light source and fiberoptic scope.

WARNINGS This light cable should be used with a properly functioning light source.
•Adaptors on cable should be screwed tightly on cable and instrument. •Size of fiberoptic cable should be same size as instrument fiberoptic channel guide. Measure inside diameter on instrument to determine size. •The Xenon photographic light source is a high-intensity light source. High intensity light produces heat at the adaptor on the light cable. •Use as low a setting on the source as the clinical situation allows. Increased light means more heat on the light cable and connectors. •Do not lay cable on flammable materials while in use.
